Is it necessary to setup a RAID array on a SATA II hard drive if you aren't running a network or server.? - network server gigabyte

I bought a Gigabyte S-series motherboard technologies to build a new gaming system. It is configured to be executed, 4 SATA II. The manual says it can not be activated, the RAID-II for four people, but Wikipedia says that the RAID drives are primarily used in servers.
